Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Mlilwane is a middleveld reserve near the Ezulwini valley, here you will see tame animals close up, giving children an opportunity to really get close to animals like antelope. Although the vegetation is not pristine, it is well worth visiting , particularly if you have small children to amuse. There is a restaurant and bar attractively built over a dam and you can watch wildlife and have a meal or a drink without having to venture outdoors. Small chalets and traditional beehive huts provide rustic accommodation. These share ablution facilities with the campsite. There is a large swimming pool.

Mlilwane is the site of Reilly’s Rock, an old stone colonial house with verandas that has been carefully converted to a lodge. Attractively situated on Nyonyane mountain in peaceful old gardens, the stone-walled tin-roofed house has five double rooms and one twin.

Landrover tours are available within the reserve. They also have mountain bikes for hire and you can go horse-riding amidst the animals.
